Review: 30 Days Miracle Serum AHA, BHA, PHA (Some By Mi)

THE BRAND: SOME BY MI
The Korean cosmetic brand’s name comes from “Something”, “By a miracle” and “Mi” which means “beauty” in Korean. The brand has a reputation for being very effective and cruelty free, combining ingredients that are not aggressive for the skin. Before buying this product, I did not know “Some by Mi”, but I needed something with these features and the reviews I found were very good.
THE PRODUCT
They call it 30 Days Miracle Serum, and it’s a combination of AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs with tea tree and gotu kola. It is perfect for fighting pimples and acne, balances the skin’s sebum production, gently exfoliates to remove dead cells, and thus regenerates the skin with smoother and more radiant texture. It also soothes and calms damaged skin, and diminishes the appearance of blemishes.
Among its many components,
- Centella Asiatica (14.5%) an ingredient with properties that strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, is an antioxidant and calms irritation.
- Tea tree, natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agent
- Mix of chemical exfoliants
- AHA: Remove dead cells and impurities from the skin’s surface
- BHA: Cleans pores and helps control sebum production
- PHA: Perfect for sensitive skin, prevents moisture loss
- Other ingredients are niacinamide, several plant extracts and essential oils, all of them dermatologically tested to avoid reactions on the most sensitive skin. The list of ingredients is long, but in COSDNA you can see all of them in depth.
It is a greenish-colored serum with a very liquid texture, like slightly denser water. It doesn’t have any particular odor, and it absorbs quickly into the skin, so it can be used with oils or night creams afterwards. Like most of products, it comes in a plastic bottle with a dropper in a 50ml format.
Having exfoliating elements, it is a serum that is best used at night i.e., after cleansing and toning. And suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive.
MY EXPERIENCE
I have been suffering from an outbreak of pimples around my forehead area from several weeks. It started as a simple pimple, but as soon as it was gone, another one appeared, and then two more, until in the end it was a complete disaster. I needed something new that would work for me, so I wanted to give this serum with such interesting ingredients a chance.
The fact is that this miracle serum works. Being a bit watery, it is difficult to calculate the amount, but I have used approximately half a dropper of product each time, I put it in the palms of my hands, rub between them, and apply in touches starting with the chin, forehead and nose area, which is where pimples always appear. I have not felt irritation or itching or anything like that. It is very easily absorbed, so other denser moisturizing creams can be applied afterwards to finish the routine.
As the name says, you have to use it for at least 30 days to see results, I’ve been using it for a bit longer and yes, you can see the difference. Above all, the pimples have not gone further. Little by little, the irritation of the skin has decreased and so has the redness. There are still pimple marks left, I’m still working on it, but the difference is clearly visible.
In my case, I only use it at night, because of the exfoliating effect, but I think it could be used without problems in the morning as well as long as it is accompanied by good sun protection.
It is definitely a serum that I recommend and I will not mind replacing once I finish – although with its size and how little it is used, I still have some time left. And it leaves me wanting to continue trying more things from Some by Mi.
