BTS to Release an Album With '9 Years of History' 3 New Songs Included!

The group BTS will release an anthology (collection of existing works) album that summarizes their activities after their debut, including three new songs next month. Big Hit Management further shared with Billboard, “The BTS anthology album that embodies the history of BTS will be released as they begin a new chapter as an artist that has been active for nine years to look back on their endeavors.”
Big Hit Music, the management company, announced on the 5th on the fan community platform ‘Weverse’, “The anthology album <Proof> consisting of 3 CDs will be released on the 10th of next month at 1:00 PM.”
The first CD contains all the title tracks of BTS’ previous albums, and the second CD consists of solo songs and unit songs selected by the seven members themselves. The third CD contains songs that were released for the first time on the album, including songs that were not recorded in the past while preparing the album, a demo version with a sense of presence, and a fan song ‘For Youth’ containing a message to the fans. has been included
It is the first time in about 11 months that BTS releases a CD album since the single CD containing ‘Butter’ and ‘Permission to Dance’ in July last year. In terms of album, it’s been 1 year and 7 months since the special album ‘BE’ released in November 2020.
Meanwhile, inside and outside the music industry, there was a high expectation that BTS would release a regular album. This is because no regular album has been released since the 4th full album <Map of the Soul: 7>, which was released in February 2020. However, the new album will be filled with songs that summarize 9 years of activities. The agency said, “The anthology album, which consists of three CDs, is composed of three new songs and a colorful track containing the members’ thoughts about the past, present and future of BTS.”
Along with the news of the release of the new album on the same day, BTS also released a ‘Proof’ trailer (trailer) in which the titles of recently released songs from their debut album are sequentially released on social media.
The anthology album’s pre-sale period started at 11 am KST on the 5th of May and It will be officially released on the 10th of next month.
