Tomorrow X Together –’minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ showcases how even the most heartbreaking tragedy can’t extinguish their creative flame. On this magnificent record, the HYBE boyband sinks – and then soars – through the stages of getting over a break-up.

Last year, Tomorrow X Together were extolling the virtues of love after discovering a relationship that could melt even the hardest hearts. Life, on the other hand, has a knack of veering off course and shattering all of your plans, ambitions, and dreams just when you think you’ve got everything under control. The band’s latest mini-album,’minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,’ is proof of that, with the band’s once-powerful romance now serving as a bitter reminder of what could have been.

Tomorrow X Together (TXT) made a comeback with an all-time performance and album. On the afternoon of the 9th, TXT’s ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ media showcase was held at Yes24 Live Hall located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

On this day, Soobin introduced the album, “Thursday is the day of the week, but it feels like a weekend”. Then Taehyun said, “It contains a lot of elements that people who love K-pop will like. It also contains unit songs that we will show for the first time after our debut.” Yeonjun also participated in the rap making of the title song ‘Good Boy Gone Bad’ in this album. Regarding this, Yeonjun said, “It’s such an honor. It was nice to be able to tell the story I wanted to tell.” He said, “It’s a song in a genre we haven’t done much before, so we actively participated.” He said, “I researched because I wanted to show a perfect rap. As a result, the rap that matched my voice and atmosphere was resilient. Of the raps I’ve shown so far, I think many people will be most satisfied.”

The concept prepared by the members this time is markedly different from what they have shown before. Hueningkai said, “When I heard this concept, I thought, ‘It’s finally here.’ I thought I would do it someday. I think the breakup theme is also an essential event in the process of growing up. I feel like I have grown even more,”. Soobin also said, “All five members are gentle, so this acting was a bit awkward. In particular, during the music video shoot, I was directed to ‘show the anger I can’t control’.

The performance point of this album is the ‘GBGB’ dance. ‘GBGB’ is an acronym for the title song ‘Good Boy Gone Bad’. Yeonjun said, “This performance is not simply sad because of a breakup, but conveys complex emotions such as breakup and intense anger. “I want to become a figure that I will never forget once I see it.”

When asked what are some goals you want to achieve with this album? Taehyun said, “I want this album to be expressed as a ‘masterpiece’. I want to hear that the TXT song is a song you can trust and listen to, and the TXT stage is a stage you believe in and see.” Yeonjun said, “I’m currently promoting as an MC for SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’, and for the duration of my promotions, I think I’ll be very happy if TXT wins 1st place on ‘Inkigayo’.”

The members also received support from Bang Si-hyuk while preparing for this album. Yeonjun said, “I was worried and nervous about this album, but Bang Sihyuk PD encouraged me to say, ‘Don’t worry. I think I can do well.’ So, I was very grateful and worked harder.”

Lastly, Soobin said about this comeback, “I’m worried and excited.” “I hope you will love our new side a lot. The five of us will have fun while promoting, so please look forward to it. Especially for the fans who have been waiting for our comeback for a long time. I hope it will be a present.”

Meanwhile, “Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ borrows the theme of ‘Thursday’s Child has to go far’, part of Mother Goose’s oral nursery rhymes.
